1 Day Group Workshops in Dorset

The one day group workshop is very popular and takes place at least once a month (Sept-May). Participants receive a whole day of shared guidance in landscape photography techniques. Whatever your level there is lots to gain from this experience. Each 1 day group workshop is on a preset day (see dates below) and is generally for 3 photographers unless stated otherwise. The atmosphere is relaxed and ideally suited for photographers wishing to be more creative in their landscape photography; particular attention is paid to composition, filtration, camera settings and even what equipment to carry in your kit bag. The workshop day aims to be between 8 and 9 hours in duration, although they can sometimes over-run if the weather conditions are good. We meet at a chosen location at a given start time. This can vary depending on the time of year and also where people are travelling from or staying. At this point you leave your own vehicle as transport is provided. After our initial greetings we begin the day with an informal briefing and a chat about the day ahead, often over coffee or a cuppa - I did say it was informal. We then cover a full day shooting at up to three prime photographic locations, and whenever possible we finish after sunset. Group sizes are deliberately kept small, (If you have ever experienced a workshop with as many as 12 participants you will understand why) so there is plenty of time for individual attention and guidance. If you wish to stay overnight I can recommend local hotels or guest houses to stay.
