Behind the Lens

Anthony (or Tony) is an award winning landscape photographer based in Dorset in the south of England. He and his wife live in the shadow of the spectacular Iron Age hill fort, Hambledon Hill, which is situated in the north of the county. North Dorset, and in particular the Blackmore Vale, is very special to Tony as in November 2010 his atmospheric sunrise photograph of the Blackmore Vale won him a commended award in 'Take-a-View’, the Uk's National Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.

As a full time freelance photographer Tony has a versatile approach to his photography and undertakes a wide range of commissions for business and personal clients, although he loves nothing better than capturing atmospheric sunrises and sunsets in his home county of Dorset and in particular the spectacular Jurassic coast.

Tony also enjoys leading landscape photography workshops for budding photographers of all levels and experience. As he has lived in the county of Dorset all his life he has an intimate knowledge of its prime photographic locations. His workshops are very much aimed at helping others to progress in their photography, first finding ways to improve camera techniques and then to develop the aesthetic skills. He has a big heart to encourage participants to raise their game to the next level in landscape photography, and to watch their 'WOW' reaction as they create great images they thought they would never be able to capture. Commissions

Tony's photographic versatility welcomes commissions in a variety of photographic styles from landscapes and architecture to still life and portraits. He specialises in landscape photography and produces stock imagery for all sorts of clients from magazines to stock libraries. He sells his prints to both private and business clients and is available for commissioned work at competitive rates. Although most of his galleried images and workshops are based in Dorset, he is happy to travel and undertake commissions both nationally and internationally.
