Lightroom & Landscape Day

Tony invites you to come along on a workshop with a difference - split into two parts, a classroom based Adobe Lightroom tutorial, followed by a field based sunset shoot on the Dorset coast. Lightroom is one of the most user friendly and popular download and editing programs for photographers and even if you don't yet have the program this is a useful insight into how to improve yout editing workflow.

The Venue - Corfe Castle Village Hall
We will be situated in the heart of the Purbeck Hills and just a stones throw from classic photographic locations like Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay & Durdle Door.

Workshop itinerary

The morning session will be dedicated to a 'Lightroom' tutorial (part one), led by expert editing and processing guru Stuart Culley. Stuart is highly regarded as a leading knowledge on all things photographic at Robert Whites Photographic in Poole and in his spare time he teaches at Bournemouth Arts University. What Stuart doesn't know is probably not worth knowing anyway. The tutorial will cover all aspects of the download and workflow procedures associated with Lightroom. We will be concentrating on processing landscape photographs in particular. The tutorial will be informal and interactive within a classroom environment and projected onto a big screen. You may wish to bring your own lap top and practise. During the morning, teas, coffee and soft drinks will be available. A buffet lunch is provided and will follow the morning session. After lunch we will continue with the Lightroom tutorial (part two). Towards the end of the afternoon we will venture out with our cameras and finish the day with a sunset shoot on the coast. Transport to the shooting location is provided. The day will be relaxed and informal, and a good opportunity to share photographic experiences.
