Landscape Photography Workshop

Stourhead is the jewel in the crown of all the National Trust properties in the south of England. The grounds are extensive and offer so many wonderful photographic opportunities, especially at this time of the year when the autumn colours are so vibrant. The lake itself can be photographed from so many angles with reflections of the deciduous trees and not to mention the classic shot of the Palladian Bridge. The landscape and architecture oozes such potential that when you arrive with your camera it won't fail to get your creative juices flowing. If your persuasion is more botanical you could not ask for better than to spend time and energy photographing the plant-life at this wonderful location.

We spend the whole day in the gardens, beginning with a briefing over coffee before venturing out within the grounds with our cameras. The day is deliberately planned on a Tuesday to avoid tourists and spaces are limited to just four participants - so early booking is advisable. The atmosphere of the day is relaxed and ideally suited for photographers wishing to be more creative in their landscape photography; particular attention is paid to composition, filtration and your camera settings. Group sizes are deliberately kept small, (If you have ever experienced a workshop with as many as 10 or even 12 participants you will understand why) so there is plenty of time for individual attention and guidance. The day starts at 9am and finishes at approx 5pm, although we may stay as long as permitted by the National Trust. We recommend bringing a packed lunch to maximise shooting time.
