exp day back up

Just come and have a fun day out with your camera

What's it all about?
The Experience Day is exactly that. A day out with a small group of friendly like minded photographers. Some may have been on workshops before and just want to get out and practise and enjoy a day of photography, others may be new to the idea of attending a workshop and just find the Experience Day a less demanding way of meeting up with other photographers, whilst also enjoying some personal camera time in a friendly safe environment. The idea behind the day is for it to be a relaxed shooting experience and not to be a regular tuition workshop, although I will be on hand of course to offer help and tips where needed.

We meet as a group at a location near to our shooting area and venture off in a couple of cars (normally mine and one other) from there. The meet place will be somewhere suitable to leave your car for the day. If you'd prefer to drive yourself or others that is fine too, just let me know when you book and I'll factor that into our travel arrangements.

Itinerary
All good itineraries start with the chance to grab a coffee before setting out. We will finish around 8 hours after our meet time. Depending on the time of year we may have the bonus of getting a sunset in as well. If you want to leave earlier that's fine too. There are no rules and restrictions, it's just a fun day out experience!

Food
The Experience day includes a set light lunch at a prearranged local pub, so more time to socialise and share our experiences. If you have any special food requirements or allergies please be sure to mention this when you book. If you'd prefer to bring your own packed lunch then just let me know.

The Plan
The only set plan for the day is that I will guide us to a number of locations in an area that we can explore for compositions. Remember, no tuition, just personal camera time and hopefully a lot of interaction with others.

Who can come?
All levels, all ages and anyone who wants to enjoy a day of photography.

Humour
I will be shooting too, so if you need assistance or want to watch 'a master at work' just stay close (I may learn something). By the way, I nearly forgot, a sense of humour will be needed so please don't forget to bring one with you.

What kit to bring
You can bring anything you like. Film, digital, compact, DSLR, large format or just a phone if you like. There are no rules, just come and enjoy a Photo Experience Day - bring a pencil and sketchpad if you like! When you book, I will send a suggested list of items you may want to bring to make the most of the day.

Just a note
Although the day itself is designed as a relaxed fun day, it will still come under the umbrella of workshops so I will still need you to complete the booking form for health and safety and administration purposes. (so usual workshop T&Cs apply).
