Adrian Butcher - Gloucestershire (Attended a Jurassic coast group workshop)
Hi Tony, many thanks for your email and the course notes - and thanks very much for a really enjoyable and informative workshop - I had a great time and enjoyed the company, and also found it really useful. I think that I have now finally managed to venture out - and stay out - of the realms of auto settings! Added that, I not only now know what a histogram is - but know how to use one, and appreciate the importance of same!! I am also pleased to say that i am further along the way to understanding how (and when) to use filters, and will be investing in more of these as finances permit. Attached are a couple of my best efforts from the day….. I think your job is safe for the time being!

Mrs H Gritt - West Sussex (Attended a West Dorset coast group workshop)
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for yesterdays workshop, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have now got home and downloaded all my photos.I have attached all my favourite photos of my day. I will defiantly be back and am also thinking about a 1-1 session. I was really inspired by you and also that you let us all explore our own artistic flair and had such enthusiasm for our results whilst giving guidance as we did so. Thank you so much again.

Jane & Sam Pritchard - Banbury, Oxfordshire (Attended a 2-2-1 Jurassic coast workshop)
Hi Tony, Jane and I really had a good day on Friday and thoroughly enjoyed your company and guidance. We had two hours driving after we left you and spent the whole time discussing the day. We were quite taken by the workflow system, exposure control and using the neutral density filters, for which we are now absolute converts. Thanks for sending us your filter (advice) sheet. We will be ordering the Lee graduated filters today. Looking forward to seeing you in March with our new kit. Our gratitude again and best Jane & Sam.

Robert Richard - Yorkshire (Attended a Jurassic coast workshop)
Fantastic day. Marc and I thoroughly enjoyed it and hopefully learned loads of really useful stuff you were kind enough to try and get across to us dummies.
Thank you so much for your efforts to help us. See you in Bath one of these days.
(Bath Photo Walk in December)

Brian Maynard - From Norfolk - (Attended a Jurassic coast workshop)
My sincere thanks for the workshop and for transporting us around. The whole day exceeded anything I had hoped for, indeed my wife is encouraging me to book another day. The initial briefing was so helpful and was a good foundation stone for the day. I will see you soon for some more tea, cake and a little photography of course.

Alexa Jurnansk - From Slovakia (Professional portrait photographer) - (Attended a Jurassic coast workshop)
I had exciting time on the 1 day course and want to thank you for letting me join your day. It was very good to see how to do landscape photography and use filters graduated and neutrals. Thank you again and please come to my country for landscapes where I will show you photography shoots.

Susanna Ferguson - Romsey, Hants
A big thank you for such a fantastic photography workshop yesterday. I learned so much (again) and this time I will practice so that I don't forget. It was such a lovely day. Thank you for the lift in your supa cool van, and for generally looking after me.

Steven Goadsby - From Sussex
Fantastic day, it was such a laugh too. Have just booked a 1-2-1 day in September!

Linda E - From USA (A professional photographer staying in London for a year)
Hi Tony,I Just want to say thanks again for a wonderful day on Tuesday (Bluebell Day). I enjoyed the outing, the company, and the photography. I'll keep an eye on your outings for another one that grabs my interest.

Louise M - Bournemouth - (1-2-1 Tuition day)
Thank you very much for all of your help Tony. I found the entire session incredibly insightful/motivational; most enjoyable. Yesterday provided me with the foundational grounding that I desperately needed, and in fact a whole lot more. You have no idea how important that was - the camera was at risk of going into the cupboard and not coming out. I also realise that there is a whole lot more that I need to understand/experiment with. Yesterday was purely step 1 to getting me off auto and you definitely achieved that. You will definitely be seeing me again. Your knowledge/enthusiasm was infectious! You gave me an enthusiasm for taking pictures that I was losing. Thank you; and also for the attached course notes.

Alan Frost (ARPS) - From Sussex
Tony was an excellent host and provided valuable and appropriate tuition to all of us. We visited a number of locations which took full advantage of the misty and rather damp conditions of the day. I have to say that overall it was a most enjoyable day with plenty of banter thrown in for good measure.

Amanda Potter - From Poole in Dorset
What an excellent day I had yesterday (1-2-1 tuition day). I really liked the shoots and have loads of photos. The one at Durdle Door is going on my wall. I cannot believe how little I knew about my camera (Canon 5D3) before yesterday and now I am operating on a semi-manual basis. I hope I can remember everything from now on. Thanks for all your tips and help, I want to book on that group workshop in October too.

Steven Cooper - From Winchester
I had a brilliant day last Thursday (Bath Street Photography day). Helping me to set up those custom settings on my (Fuji) X100T was a master stroke and now I can understand the zone focusing too. I am booking a 1 to 1 with you soon if that's okay? Thanks again Steve.

Hazel & John C - From USA
Tony, we had a wonderful time in England and we are totally grateful for your guidance and encouragement over the three days. Dorset is a spectacular mix of countryside and seaside photography opportunities and we have so many good photographs to remind of us of our trip. Even though I have been photographing for a long time I salute you for your tuition, I know you don't like the phrase 'to step up' but I have to say I have stepped up my understanding and in the way I do things with my camera, even the way I use my tripod has changed. Who would believe there are good techniques in using one! Thank you and totally high praise from Nevada US!

Gilly Hopson - From Winterborne Whitechurch, Dorset
Thanks so much for the great picture and course notes etc and thank you for a brilliant day. I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the cold! Everyone was so nice too, which made it even more enjoyable!

Andy Quinn - From Wallingford, Oxfordshire
Thanks for a great day i enjoyed it and felt you have moved my Landscape ability on no end.
Glad you solved my ISO mystery on my camera - funny you should say about it being effectively the same as using the compensation adjustment, that was a question that occurred to me earlier, so you have answered that too, thank you. Look forward to another session at some point in the year. Oh great group photo, came out well!

Mike Masters - From Sturminster Marshall, Dorset
Many thanks for the photo and various course notes. I really enjoyed the day, a great group atmosphere and I learnt a lot. Much to remember and practice, which means my goal was achieved. It was a good opportunity just to spend time taking photos and learning without the pressures of everyday life. Something that I will no doubt look to repeat in the future.

Thanks for the amazing 1-2-1 workshop I did with you yesterday.
I can't believe how quickly the time went and just how much I learnt from you in my half day session. We were so lucky with the weather too, which allowed me to take some lovely photos. I can't wait to put my new found knowledge into action and look forward to coming to another of your workshops soon - but next time with my husband!! (He says I know more about his camera than him now - and guess what's on the Christmas present list - a new SLR camera so we each have our own!)

Sue Tate - From Buckfastleigh Devon
"What a magical day!
We had the chance to visit some great locations but more importantly for me I felt I learnt so much. As a member of a small group (4), I think I really benefitted from having individual input on a wide range of both technical and creative matters. I have had my camera for a number of years but finally, after this course, feel that I am using its full potential. And best of all? I retuned home with photos I would be proud to show anyone. I would love to come again."

Sharon Merrel - From Southampton Hants
"Thank you Tony for a really enjoyable and informative day.
I was a little apprehensive about meeting a group of strangers but I have to say everyone was fantastic and throughout the day I enjoyed everyones company. Tony was always on hand to see if we were using the correct settings/equipment to ensuring we would get the best pictures whilst also giving us space to try things out for ourselves. I would definitely recommend this workshop and will be booking another one in the near future.

Jean Stephens - From South Wales
"Dear Tony, thank you so much for a superb day on Sunday. I know you said not to keep thanking you but it really was one of the best days ever. My husband has been driven silly as have I tried to remember everything we did on the day. With this being my first ever workshop I didn't know what to expect and in some ways that made it very special. I will send over a couple of photos for you to see. Please mention to Phil I enjoyed his jokes too, despite rolling my eyes at the corny ones! You have probably noticed by now that I have paid a deposit on the north Dorset workshop later in the year. Thanks so much for making the day so interesting."

Elaine Bolter- From Isle of Wight
"This was my third one day workshop in the last year and by far the most enjoyable. The other two were with other photographers. Tony's easy manner and attention to detail is was sets him apart as a tutor. I also liked the locations he took us to and found myself looking for much more arty type images at each place. The hour photo challenge was a real test for me and gave me a big confidence boost. I highly recommend Tony's workshops and tuition and will be booking again very soon."

Tracy Farrer - From Bournemouth Dorset
"Anthony runs the workshop with only 4 clients so that he can spend ample time with each of us. The group were great fun and this really made for an even better day. Who cares how cold you are when you're having fun. I came home with some brilliant shots that I would never have been able to capture if I had not been on this workshop. I had an amazing time on this workshop. Anthony took us to some super locations where we were able to capture the sunrise and the sunset perfectly. The tutorial given after the first shoot was very informative and we were given lots of opportunities to ask questions and absorb the information that was given. I found this very useful and know that it helped me improve the quality of my photo taking. Thank you Anthony for a truly great day."

Rob Hepburn - From Sherborne Dorset
"For a beginner the Landscape Workshop was ideal for me.
Tony's advice went from initial set up through to composition and using the natural light to your advantage. I learnt how to use my camera, which features and controls to use and which not to. One of the biggest learnings for me was not to rush to get the picture and how to use those filters I bought ages ago to take, what I thought were, amazing pics. Tony isnt concerned about how many questions you ask and his teaching method is very relaxed but highly informative."

Simon Beeny - From Ringwood Hampshire
"I just wanted to express my thanks for the workshop last Saturday, it was a great day and I owe it to my wife for finding you. This is something I have wanted to do for a while and having tried reading up on the subject but with little success, it was great to be taught in such a relaxed and practical way. The level of tuition was just right for me at the time, although I think I could bear more now I have reached a base-camp of knowledge and understanding. I particularly liked the build up of tuition throughout the day, so that we were not given everything in one go. The locations were great and I really enjoyed the interlude in Corfe with the challenge shots - that was really good fun. Another great thing about the day was the ability to have a laugh and a joke during the workshop. Just the way it should be. Finally, I must admit to being rather excited about downloading the photos from the day when I got home, to see them in the flesh and that is perhaps the best compliment. Thank you once again, it was a fantastic day."

Sue Gratton - Mere, Wilts
Just to say many thanks for a great day on Tuesday. You did say a 1-2-1 day would be a good thing for me to do and it certainly was. Learnt so much and came home with some lovely shots, all thanks to your tuition.
