ABOUT ANTHONY
Anthony (or Tony) is a full time professional photographer based in the scenic countryside of north Dorset on the south coast of England, UK.
TECHNICALS & TEACHING
Tony has tutored and hosted a regular programme of UK-based ‘on location’ photographic group and 1-2-1 workshops for 20 years. He has enjoyed welcoming photographers from all over the UK and other parts of the world - many becoming good friends! If you would like to join Tony, please do get in touch. All levels are welcome.
HIS BACKGROUND
Alongside tutoring hosting workshops his work has varied and includes everything from magazine features, commercial work (in many guises), landscapes, architectural, portraits, weddings, sports and exhibitions. He has also given multiple talks to camera clubs, university classes and businesses. Much of his work has had an objective remit due to the constraints of editors and alike, but always completed with an artistic mindset. As a result he has gained experience and versatility in many different photographic fields.
TIMELINE
In 2026, I will be hosting fewer group workshops over the calendar year. All my workshops are based around the changing seasons and planned to capture the optimum times to photograph them. If this excites you and you would like to be notified when one goes live please leave your contact details here>>.
1-2-1 TUITION & EXPERIENCE DAYS IN 2026
I will continue to host regular 1-2-1 experience days & tuition in 2026 ... so do get in touch, or alternatively take a look at the 1-2-1 Workshop page for more information on how they work.

TIMELINE
- Purchased my first real camera in 1977. Even then, was in total awe of the creative potential of the camera.
- Was a keen amateur photographer for many years, but the creative seeds were sown in the late 1970’s.
- Former career within the electrical industry (29 years) - includes many years running my own business.
- The technical background provided a good foundation to support my photography interests, and then latterly into full time photography. I have often joked that switching professions meant working 10 times harder for 10 times less!
- An early convert to the (then) new digital medium in the new millennium. This had a profound growth affect and influenced the decision to leap into full time photography.
- Twenty odd years on and I’m still enjoying the ride! Although, I admit … I am slowing down!
