A Pilgrimage Workshop
Being based in Dorset you could be forgiven for wondering why I venture into Wiltshire each year to host this annual bluebell day workshop. The simple answer is that it provides the most beautiful setting that even the fabulous Dorset scenery struggles to rival. This will be my 15th annual group workshop to this location and the carpet of bluebells has been spectacular on every occasion. I look forward to the heavenly scent as you enter the expansive woodland canopy. It truly is an experience you will want to repeat time and time again.

The Itinerary
We begin the day by meeting up on the outskirts of Salisbury. After our initial greetings we will take a short stroll to the nearby river and warm our cameras up by shooting across the meadows looking towards Salisbury Cathedral. It is a lovely spot and on previous visits a kingfisher has been spotted going about its morning business. We then venture north about half-an-hour to the bluebell woods which is just shy of Marlborough. This will be our base for the rest of the day.

What kit to bring
Participants will be provided with a small list of suggested items to consider bringing along that could be helpful. No specialist equipment is necessary though so you can just bring your camera and enjoy the day!

Additional Information
  • I recommend you bring a packed lunch and enough hot/cold drinks to last you for the day. There are no drinks or food outlets at the woods.
  • All levels are welcome, whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer.
