1-2-1 TUITION

Tony is an experienced professional photographer and tutor with a big heart to inspire and help others to learn new things. He will provide gentle guidance where you need it, whilst hoping you finish the day having enjoyed the experience, bagged some great photographs and at the same time improved your skills for the future. The 1-2-1 workshop is for all levels of photographer from a total beginner through to aspiring professionals.

HOW IT WORKS
We meet at a chosen location at an agreed time - this can depend on where the workshop will be based. We will most likely begin the day with a cuppa and chat about your photography and experiences. This is where we concentrate on where your needs are with your photography and how we can help you to move forward. Guidance will continue at your pace throughout. Tony has an extensive knowledge of Dorset and choosing suitable locations. The experience day is NOT an extreme adventure. Adjustments are always made for fitness levels and health considerations. (ha ha ... and that's just Tony's!)

FOR THE BEGINNER
Receiving a few minutes' personal help on basic camera settings can be just enough to appreciate the camera's capabilities. Spend a whole day in the field and this can prove to be the springboard to go forward. We take a look at good exposure techniques, controlling and making the most of the light, good composition and other creative methods like long exposures, good lens choices and using filters.

FOR THE EXPERIENCED
An experienced photographer can enjoy a 1-2-1 experience day too, maybe concentrating on the advanced areas and aspects of camera craft instead. Sometimes photographers just like to be taken to interesting and iconic places and that's fine too. So there is something for everyone - all levels are welcome.

CHOOSE YOUR SESSION

  • HALF-DAY One-2-One SESSION (max 4.5hrs duration)
The half-day workshop can be planned for a morning or afternoon session. We would aim to shoot at least one location, sometimes two, depending on time.
  • 3/4-DAY One-2-One SESSION (max 6.5hrs duration)
The 3/4-day workshop is a planned 6.5hrs session to start and finish at agreed times and it may include a sunset shoot.
  • FULL-DAY One-2-One SESSION (max 8.5hrs duration)
The additional time of a full-day workshop gives us an opportunity to travel a little further and take in more locations. The aim is generally to finish the day with a sunset shoot.
